The marine relic display hall for National Research Institute of Maritime Research is a place where the cultural heritage sunken in the depths of the sea are excavated and displayed, and it is not an exaggeration to call it a “marine archeology museum”. “Shinan treasure ship”, found in the coastal seas of Shinan in 1975, in other words parts of Chinese merchant vessel that has been sailing across China and Japan during around 1323, Wando, the vessel used to carry Goryeo Dynasty’s ceramic that was discovered in Jeonnam Wando, and other marine heritage discovered from 6 other places and the history of ships, fishing village, marine cultural experiences, and other various things can be found in this complex maritime cultural heritage institute.
